Friday/Saturday: 12:00PM - 9:00PM

Who We Are

We make craft beer with a throwback approach. Through a combination of time-tested brewing/blending methods and modern practices, we create beer that is complex, thought-provoking, and above all delicious. We strive to offer something every pallet will enjoy!  With each barrel, puncheon, and foudre, our beers develop their own personality.

The name Birds Fly South is a Johnson family inside joke.  For the last 22 years, we lived the Coast Guard life, migrating across the country.  Our family is a flock, always looking to make our way south.  Once we landed in Greenville, we knew we had found our home.  This is where we as a family, and as a brewery, are supposed to be.

Inside Scoop

For us, a good patron is someone who is willing to try something they’ve never had before, or never heard of.  We are very proud of our product, and so much love and passion go into every beer.  We love sharing new beers with our patrons and friends!

Our last adventure involved surfing on Folly Beach.  Our Birds fly to the ocean as much as possible!
